CONTINUING EDUCATION COLLEGE CREDIT ACUPUNCTURE CERTIFICATION

“Fellows” are eligible for “Diplomate” status (Dipl.Med.Ac.)

Applicants are allowed one academic year to complete the 425 hour requirement consisting of meeting all requirements for “Fellowship” (305 hrs.), plus 120 hours for submission of 30 case studies presented for peer review.

Earning Diplomate (Dipl.Med.Ac. IAMA) status qualifies the physician to display their “Affiliate” representing academic / clinical competence.

Fellows in the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture are eligible to apply for Diplomate status to obtain the credentials Dipl.Med.Ac. (IAMA).

The Diplomate Program consists of completing a 30-case studies using the 5-page format provided by IAMA that has been approved by Northeast College of Health Sciences. Thirty case studies are submitted to IAMA with the application fee. Approved case study submittals are eligible for 120 hours of post-graduate education through Northeast College of Health Sciences (Frank J. Nicchi School of Continuing Education). These 120 hours are awarded for the submission of 30 written case studies, which are presented for grading and peer review. The case studies must accompany 200 hours of documented clinical practice. A separate fee is required for those desiring college credit for the case study peer review presentation.
